A FEW SNAPS FROM ELVIS ON THE GREEN...MORE COMING SOON
WHAT ARE WE DOING?
Mick Burrill is spending 100 days on the fight against cancer walking over 500kms during this period. The kicker is, not only he is in QLD with the heat but he is going to be dressed as Elvis! He will also be walking his dog, who will also be dressed as Elvis.
Mick lost his job due to Covid and only recently secured a new job, so is working full time. So to dedicate time to this project he is getting up at 5am each morning, to beat the heat and so that he can still manage his work during the day.
After the 100 day milestone there will be a Covid safe event “Elvis on the Green” with whatever numbers will be allowed on location. We are also looking to livestream the event to make it accessible to more people.
Mick lost his good friend to cancer last year. Mick wanted to do something about this terrible disease so decided to create a fundraiser.
WHERE ARE THE FUND GOING TO?

STEVE MCMENIMAN ~R.I.P~
21/10/1980 - 29/05/2020
I'm trying to sum up the friend we all lost who is my main driving force behind this campaign (Steve McMeniman) and it's kind of hard to paint a true picture of what this guy did for the community, because he gave so much.
Steve would be the first person to put his hand in his pocket to sponsor local sports teams, charities, community events and of course shouting his mates in the pub.
The amount of people this guy had an affect on, is immeasurable. He was taken from us in the blink of an eye and it rocked our local community. All I can say is that I'm extremely thankful that our paths crossed and we became very good friends. He was successful at everything he did when he was alive and that hasn't stopped even now he's gone.
All you need to do is look at the support this campaign has gathered and it really speaks volumes of the man he was.
Steve, we love you, we miss you and we wanted to say thank you, for everything! Big love to the kindest guy I've ever met!
